Dr Laoise Hook trained as a medical doctor at St George’s Hospital, University of London and has worked predominantly in acute medicine and also in psychiatry. In 2016, she decided to pursue her interest in facial aesthetics alongside her NHS work and studied anti-wrinkle injections on Harley Street. Since then, she has studied in London, Dublin, Paris and the US; in treatments such as dermal filler, skin resurfacing, micro-needling, skin boosters and much more.

Dr Hook believes that facial aesthetics is for everyone, and that it’s an unfortunate trend towards heavy lip filler and frozen faces that has frightened many people off. Put simply, medical aesthetics uses advances within the medical and pharmaceutical industries to slow the signs of skin ageing and help to bring back areas of lost volume. Done well, facial aesthetics should be virtually unnoticeable, and you should just look a better version of yourself.

Dr Annie graduated with an honours degree in Dentistry from University College Cork in 2012. She subsequently gained valuable clinical experience while living and working in Australia and Liverpool, before returning home to Ireland and settling in West Cork.

With a strong interest in general dentistry, Annie is committed to continually developing her skills and completed a number of advanced courses in medical aesthetics.

Now based in West Cork, Annie enjoys the coastal lifestyle and the balance it brings to both her professional and personal life.

Maireadh is a Skibbereen local and the first person you will meet at The Hook Clinic on Tuesdays/Fridays and Saturdays. Maireadh has a strong background in retail and fashion, having owned her own store and managed a chain of women’s clothing stores. She is an asset to the clinic and is warm, friendly and always discreet.

Miriam is West Cork local and a business woman in her own right with a fantastic online shop called Katie&Gra. She is the first person you will meet in the clinic on Wednesdays.

Miriam is professional and discreet and always ready to answer your questions.
