What is Dermal Filler?
Dermal Filler is made up of hyaluronic acid which can come in different consistencies. We can use filler for many different applications but it is primarily used for restoring volume. The most common area we inject dermal filler is into the lips to add volume or subtly enhance the shape of the lips.
Dermal filler can be used to restore loss of facial volume, deep lines and folds (including nasolabial folds and marionette lines), lip definition and enhancement, cheek and jawline contouring, tear trough hollowing, and overall facial rejuvenation and balance.
One of the reasons to come to a medical clinic for your dermal filler is that the product used to dissolve filler is a prescription only medication. This means if there are any complication or you are unhappy with the appearance our doctor can manage these issues onsite.

Process
A thorough consultation and facial assessment is conducted before any filler treatment. The skin is cleansed and a topical numbing cream or local anaesthetic may be used. Treatment is performed using a fine needle or blunt-tipped cannula depending on the area, and takes approximately 30–60 minutes.

Most clients report mild discomfort. The doctor will be using a needle to inject the filler into the desired location so this will not be very comfortable but we do our best to make it as pleasant as possible.
